"How do I improve my grade?"

Progress reports go home on Monday, November 29th.  They will need to be signed and returned by Wednesday, December 1st.  I have had a handful of students ask me how they can improve their grades.  Here are a few tips:

Turn in Homework On-Time - This is one of biggest things you can do to improve your grade in my class.  Each homework assignment counts for 10 points.  Considering that I give homework almost every night, that adds up to 40 points a week!  Remember, as well, that homework can be turned in ONE day late for half credit.

Do Your Bellwork - Although one point a day may not seem like much, it adds up!  Being careful to keep track of your bellwork and finish it completely each day is an important part of maintaining your grade.

Take Advantage of Retakes - I allow students one retake per test.  It is important that students get a review packet from me AND complete it before coming in to retake a test.  I average the retake score with the original score.  Every point counts!

I am so proud of my students' motivation to better themselves by doing well in school.  Keep up the good work Liberty Middle Schoolers!
